Background & History
Matthews Golf Classic is a golf tournament held once a year in June. It is open to all staff, faculty, students, retirees, alumni, and invited guests.
The popular event started in honour of Burt Matthews President from 1970 – 1981. Burt attended the event for many years and now his son Dave attends.
The mission of the Burt Matthews Golf Classic is to foster connection within the UWaterloo community. This social event gives individuals across campus an opportunity to meet and socialize with other individuals from various departments; people they may never have the opportunity to meet.
The Matthews Golf Classic is Texas Scramble format, so any ability to play golf is not necessary, allowing players of all abilities to play. It is a fun day where friendships and campus connections are made.

Location: Foxwood Golf Club, 2777 Erbs Rd, Baden, ON
Time: Registration & BBQ Lunch between 11:00 am - 12:30 | Shotgun Start 1:00 pm

$150 includes Golf, Cart, BBQ Lunch, Banquet with Dinner & Prizes
$96 Golf, Cart, BBQ Lunch
*Price includes use of the practice facilities; driving range, chipping and putting green.
*HST & Gratuity is included.
